Strategy and Application Prep

Guide personalized college list based on fit & academic programs. 

Prepare and guide strategy around standardized tests (SAT/ACT) prep.

Encourage leadership roles and expand EC impact.

Begin drafting personal statements and essays.

Advise on recommendation letters and building strong teacher relationships.

Plan summer activities,  strengthen academic or EC profile.

Teach application organization, timelines, and deadlines.

Review academic transcript and course rigor to identifying appropriate reach schools. Introduce admission data.

Sophomore 

 

Exploration and Early Planning

Guide students in course selection & rigor. Continue exploration based on interests and strengths.

Encourage leadership and deeper involvement in extracurriculars.

Introduce standardized testing (PSAT, SAT).

Begin discussing academic and extracurricular achievements for future applications.

Review progress on long-term goals and adjust strategies.

 

Introduce students to personal branding and storytelling.

Encourage building connections with teachers for future recommendations.

Discuss summer opportunities (programs, volunteering, internships & passion projects.)

Senior 
 

 

Summer before Senior Year Rush

Finalize college list, balancing reach, target, and safety schools.

Support students in completing college applications (Common App, Coalition).

Provide essay coaching, re-writes and editing.

Check submissions for transcripts, LORs, and test scores.

Guide students through early decision, early action, and regular decision timelines.

Review financial aid packages and scholarship opportunities

 

Interview prep, mock interviews, tips for campus visits.

Support students with waitlists, deferrals, letters of

continued interest (LOCI) and final decisions.​
